Neighborhoods
Centro/Walled City
This is the place everyone thinks of when they think of Cartagena and with good reason. It is beautiful and and filled with luxury boutiques, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and bars.
Getsemani
This is known as the hipster neighborhood. This was once known for being an unsafe area but now is the primary choice for young artist and musicians. The area has a lot of beatiful street art and is filled with street vendors. Visitors hang out with the locals at the the bars in Getsemani.
Castillogrande
Castillogrande is known for being cartagenas smallest neighborhoods but very popular with the walthy locals. It is home to the exclusive members only clubs: Club Cartagena, Club Union and Club Naval.
Bocagrande
This is the city's most popular beach neighborhood. The beachfront is filled with high rise buildings which you can see from the walled city. Bocagrande is filled with hotels, restaurants, casinos, and bars.
Manga
Manga is a residential neighborhood where you will find a lot of great authentic restaurants. The area is more laid back and calm compared to the other neighbrohoods. You wont find many tourists in this area outside of Club Pesca, which is considered by many to be the best seafood restaurant in the city.
